Request for
Applications: Community Initiative Mini-Grants
The Mission
of the Irvine Prevention Coalition is to
support a safe and caring community by
working together to provide prevention
strategies and coordinated services designed
to reduce substance abuse, violence and
related problems among our youth. To
encourage development of new and innovative
evidence-based approaches to meet community
needs, the Coalition aids constituent
members in the planning, implementation and
evaluation of inspired programs and
strategies. Serving as a “program
incubator”, the Coalition provides guidance
and resources to initiatives that will
continue to serve the community beyond the
life of the funding term.
The Irvine Prevention Coalition is once
again accepting applications for Community
Initiative Mini-Grants* for the school year
2006-2007. We would like to provide our
partners the opportunity to design and
implement programs that will support the
coalition’s goal of reducing youth substance
abuse in Irvine.
