Irvine is honored as one of the "100 Best
Communities for Young People"
The partners
of the Irvine Prevention Coalition are
pleased to announce that Irvine has been
selected as one of the “100 Best Communities
for Youth” by America's Promise. We believe
that this award is due, in large part, to
the fact that our city and school district
leaders have consistently committed needed
resources, as well as their personal
support, to programs and services for
youth.
Today, the
Irvine Prevention Coalition brings together
a variety of service providers who are doing
great things for kids and families. And
while the coalition itself serves as the
vehicle for communication, collaboration,
and action, we know that we are the direct
beneficiaries of the foundation our leaders
established so long ago. Irvine really is a
special place for children and families.
