Mini Grants

In 2005/2006, the
coalition awarded grants to the following partners:
- Assistance League of Irvine
- Provide clothing to Irvine children in
need. Referrals will come primarily from IPC partners.

- Center for Drug-Free Communities
- Host the STAAR (Student Athletes At Risk)
Program for targeted population in an Irvine HS.

- City of Irvine (MS Youth Action Team)
- Coordinate tobacco related assemblies at
Irvine's middle schools during Red Ribbon Week.

- City of Irvine (HS Youth Action Team)
- Coordinate alcohol prevention
activities on each high school campus.

- City of Irvine (Youth Employment
Services)
- Coordinate and host
workshops that prepare young people, ages 14-25, for employment.

- Host a Decision-Making Group for high
school students.

- Creekside Youth Leadership Academy
- Coordinate leadership training for high
school youth at Creekside High School. Contact: Officer Dave Tran
- Families Forward
- Host two seven-week nutrition and exercise
sessions to be presented to homeless youth population.

- Human Options
- Provide an interactive
drug/alcohol/violence awareness program. Emphasis is on dating violence
and will service high school students in Irvine.
